Tuol Sleng

Place in Phnom Penh City

Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum

Tuol Sleng, codenamed S-21, was changed over from a school to a cross examination place on the sets of Pol Pot when his Khmer Rouge development assumed liability for Cambodia in April 1975.

S-21 was a microcosm of what occurred across Cambodia under the Khmer Rouge. An expected 90% of specialists, learned people, and educators were killed with an end goal to return the nation to "Year Zero" - Pol Pot's vision of a ridiculous, agrarian culture.

Somewhere around 12,000 individuals who were held here were killed. Only 15 detainees endure.
